Autonomous vehicles have come a long way from early promises to real-world applications. However, one of the key challenges they face is perceiving and understanding their surroundings. In this talk, we will explore how AI, combined with 3D LiDAR sensors, works to interpret dynamic environments and make autonomous driving possible. We’ll also look at the current learning
methods used by AI and the limitations they face when it comes to handling the complexities of the real world. The talk will highlight the progress being made and the hurdles that still remain in developing reliable and safe autonomous driving systems.
